CMC Spring Recitals - Congrats!

CONGRATULATIONS to all our students who performed in the Spring 2026 recitals in June!!!

You all did amazingly and we can’t wait to hear you again in December!

Summer Camp Registration

SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Music & Art Creations Summer Camp:

A magical fun-filled week for 4-7 year olds with music, art, movement, drumming and instruments exploration!

Monday to Friday from 9am to noon, $325/week.

Week 1: July 13-17, 2026
Week 2: July 20-24, 2026

Summer Lessons!

SIGN-UP FOR SUMMER LESSONS IS NOW OPEN!

We highly recommend continuing lessons during July & August, even if it’s just a few, so that our students don’t lose what they’ve worked hard for this past year!

Please complete our summer lessons form that has been emailed to you – if you didn’t receive one, please email the office at cmc@cmccanada.com.

NOTE: For summer, time slots are on a first-come, first-served basis, so reserve your summer lesson day & time now!

Musical Preludes

WHAT IS MUSICAL PRELUDES?

Musical Preludes is a course designed to introduce your young child to the wonderful world of music, where they learn basic musical concepts and explore various instruments such as the violin, cello, clarinet, piano and more!

Musical Preludes classes are drop-off classes, with the teacher and students only. The course has a parent observation day where parents or caregivers come to class to observe what the children have been learning. We limit the number of students to a max of 8 children per class.

The ultimate goal is for our students to experience the joy of music.

Registration is now OPEN for 2026-2027!

TERM ONE with 15 classes total: September 19, 2026 – January 23, 2027

TERM TWO with 15 classes total: February 6 – June 12, 2027

Class options for 2026-2027:

MP Junior 4-6 yr olds: Saturdays 9:00 – 9:45am

MP Intro 3-4 yr olds: Saturdays 10:00 – 10:45am

MP Junior 4-6 yr olds: Saturdays 11:00 -11:45am

COST:

$435 per term

$825 total for 2 terms if you register for both at the same time – a savings of $45!

Featured Student!

Holden (Violin)

1. How old were you when you first started music?

I was 14 when I first started taking lessons

2. Why did you choose the instrument you currently play?

In middle school we had music class once a week and we played violin, and I really enjoyed it. I found myself always waiting for the next class and always wanting to do more with the violin, so I got my own and starting practicing with some actual lessons. I love the songs and sounds you can play on the violin. I think the violin can be one of the most beautiful instruments if played well, and that’s what I want to achieve.

3. What do you like most about your music teacher?

Micheal is a very kind teacher and person, he is patient, but most importantly he teaches in a way that’s very understandable, and I’ve learned so much about violin and music as a whole from him so I’m very grateful

4. Do you have a favourite piece to play?

I very much enjoy the piece “Minuet No.3” by C. Petzold.

5. If you could play any other instrument, what would it be?

I think the piano would be a fun new instrument to try out, however I also think that something more brass like the trumpet could be fun to try.

6. What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy doing many things, I like drawing, baking and cooking, going for walks or runs, and playing games with my friends (both sports and online).

7. Who are some of your musical inspirations?

Toby Fox is a very good composer for his two games Deltarune & Undertale and I very much enjoy listening to and playing some of his songs.

8. What do you like most about CMC?

It’s a very welcoming place, every week when I walk in I feel happy to be there, from when I’m greeted at the front door to all the posters and the colourful design of the whole place.

9. Anything else you want to add?

I am happy to be taking lessons at the CMC and plan to continue taking lessons for a long time.
