A magical fun-filled Summer music and art weekly camp for 4 – 7 year olds with music, art, movement and drumming components! Students also have the opportunity to have hands-on experiences with various instruments such as a small-sized cello, flute, violin, piano, guitar and more. If weather permits, some activities will take place in our beautiful enclosed backyard garden!

Who is this camp for?

Music & Art Creations is our half day summer camp for 4 to 7 year olds. Some students have no musical experience while others have started lessons: all are welcome in this magical week where students are respected for their unique selves. The goal is for our students to experience the joy of music! Registration is limited to only 8 students per week. 

What happens each day?

Each day starts off with our music and movement time, where students use small percussive instruments, singing and movement to explore basic musical concepts. A time for creating art is next, where students are self-directed in using mediums such as modelling clay, water colour paints on canvas, pine cones and other elements of nature. Snack time occurs in our beautiful enclosed backyard garden, and then it’s drumming circle time having fun with various rhythms. Students have time each day exploring various instruments: the violin, cello, flute, clarinet, electric guitar, trumpet, piano and more. Each day ends with a quiet storytime.

On Friday, the last day of camp, parents and caregivers are invited for a small music and art show. Students perform a short musical drama; each student is invited to demonstrate their favourite instrument they explored during the week, and finally, they show their parents all the artwork they created in the camp art show, and then take home all of their unique creations.

What does my child need to bring?

Each camp day, students should bring:

• a peanut-free snack and water bottle
• a sun hat for our backyard garden time

What is your withdrawal policy?

For camp withdrawals, tuition fees will be refunded with at least 48 hours notice, for the remaining days minus a $45 withdrawal administrative fee. If a credit on account is preferred (for future use for other camp weeks, classes or lessons), the withdrawal administrative fee will be waived.
