Peter is a saxophonist and clarinetist, teacher, and composer originally from Providence, Rhode Island. Peter has taught in both private lessons and school settings since 2009 and has had great success in inspiring his students to achieve their best.

Peter earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island in Music Composition. He also began his teaching career here in 2006 at the University’s Community Music Program. After graduating he worked with students and school music programs throughout the state, building one of the most successful teaching studios in the area and gaining a reputation as a forward-thinking educator. His students have ranged from children to collegiate musicians and music professionals. They have been accepted to a variety of programs and ensembles including Boston’s Metropolitan Wind Symphony, the Southern New England Honors Band, New England Conservatory’s Preparatory School, and Choate Rosemary Hall (arts concentration). As a lifelong student himself, Peter has studied with woodwind teachers including Matt Otto, Dr. Jared Sims, Dr. Brian Sparks, and David Key. His composition teachers include Dr. Eliane Aberdam, Dr. Geoffrey Gibbs, and Joe Parillo.

As a performer, Peter has been recognized for his work as the saxophonist in avant-rock group A Troop of Echoes.
