Esther Kim - Piano, Theory

Pianist Esther Kim started her professional studies in music in ‘Seoul Art Centre Music Academy’ with the most renowned teachers. Kim made her first debut at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall at the age of 13 as a solo pianist. In 2010 she also got chosen as a featuring pianist for Australia's SBS Radio & Television Youth Orchestra following the great Polish composer's footsteps: from Warsaw to Kraków, Prague to Vienna and Paris - 200 years after his birth. During this tour, Kim performed in most famous attractions and concert halls in Europe including Schonbrunn Palace, Austria, Zelazowa Wola, Poloand, and Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Poland. This footstep was directed and filed by Adam Sebire and all piano solo repertoires were played by Kim. 

Esther was born in Republic of Korea and her family migrated to Sydney, Australia in 2002. She attended the Ravenswood School for Girls, Gordon, Sydney, on a full tuition scholarship and studied piano with Margaret Hair and Nikolai Evrov from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Kim also studied with various artists at the Internationaler Klaviersommer Cochem in Germany and the Vianden International Music Festival in Luxembourg.

She is currently in the Artist Diploma Program at the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of music, Toronto. She worked with most renowned teachers such as John Perry, David Louie, Leon Fleisher, James Anagnoson, Anton Kuerti, Peter Longworth and Virginia Weckstrom. Kim intends to continue her studies in piano performance for her future career as soloist and ensemble player.
