Caitlin Wood - Voice, Piano, Theory

B.Mus. (Manitoba), M.Mus. in Operatic Performance (Toronto)

Alberta born musician Caitlin Wood grew up with a great love of music, starting in choirs when she was four. After taking piano and singing lessons throughout her childhood she went on to pursue her Bachelor’s of Vocal Performance at the University of Manitoba and has just graduated with her Masters in Operatic Performance from the University of Toronto.

Her love of music has led her to her performing many operatic and musical theater roles including Adina (L’elisir d’more), Marie(La fille du regiment), Despina (Cosi fan tutte), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), Johanna (Sweeney Todd), and Maria(West Side Story) to name a few. She has also been the recipient of many awards and grants including the Richard Bradshaw Graduate Fellowship in Opera (2012), the Alberta Arts Graduate Scholarship (2012), and most recently the Metropolitan Opera National Council Audition Four City District Winner Award.

Caitlin believes that everyone has a little bit of music in them that is just waiting to burst out. She currently teaches children and adults alike, and hopes to bring them to their full potential through hard work and of course fun. Through her lessons she wants to explore the vast and colourful world of music so that each student can discover their own musical voice with confidence and joy.  Realize your full potential inside and outside the musical studio by starting with a little music!
