Adam Ruzzo - Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass, Songwriting & Theory

Master of Music, Guitar performance, University of Toronto

After picking up the electric guitar at the age of fifteen, Adam has made a life long commitment to mastering the art of performing. During his early years, he could be seen playing regularly in his rock band 'Crisis' throughout the GTA - including an opening spot for Def Leppard at the Molson Amphitheatre – but his path soon took a different turn when he discovered the Classical Guitar.

Since pursuing the classical guitar, Adam has had the privilege to work with some of North America's top guitar students and has been receiving lessons and attending concerts of some of the world's most reputable classical guitarists. He has received lessons from Lorenzo Micheli, Matteo Mela, Andrew Zohn and Randall Avers and has participated in master classes with The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, the Canadian Guitar Quartet and Martha Masters. He continues to attend guitar festivals regularly throughout Ontario, Quebec, The United States and Italy.

Adam has completed his Master of music in performance degree at the University of Toronto, studying with Jeffrey Mcfadden. He has been freelancing since 2005 playing at Venues such as The ROM, Art Gallery of Ontario, Pierre du Calvet (Montreal) and The Waring House (Picton, Ontario). He has also been playing at the Royal York Hotel on a weekly basis since 2006.

Along with performing, Adam is also a dedicated teacher. His teaching approach is centered on the individual needs of the student, and he enjoys teaching everything from Bach to Rock.
